Our Unique Service

  • You can arrange a home swap for that dream holiday, or release the value in your property by renting it out to other members of the IB family.
  • You can home exchange with other members as many times as you like within your membership period. You might, for example, arrange a couple of long-weekend exchanges as well as a two week holiday exchange in your summer vacation.
  • You can arrange a simultaneous or a non-simultaneous swap; and if you have more than one property, your membership entitles you to advertise all of them on our website.

Top Tips

1. Get to know your swap or rental partner Getting to know each other inspires confidence on both sides. You may need to exchange 20 or 30 messages and have a phone conversation before coming to an agreement. An successful exchange can sometimes lead to a lasting friendship.

2. Make your home welcoming A clean and tidy home stocked with a supply of basic provisions (tea, coffee, sugar, milk et) and with plenty of wardrobe and drawer space will help to make your swap partners feel at home. We also recommend that you leave a "house book" with helpful hints and local wisdom.

3. Home insurance Tell your insurance company what you are planning to do so that you are covered. Most companies welcome home exchange arrangements on the grounds that it is bettter to have your home occupied while you are away than left empty.
