About our home

 

The flat is well equipped with kitchen bathroom, lounge, dining room, and 2 bedrooms. Many of the furnishings represent my time overseas and although it is within the city, it situated within a quiet neighborhood. Hence it is an ideal location from which to explore the historic city of Newcastle, while only being a 30 minute drive from Hadrian's wall and from the beautiful rugged countryside of Northumberland.

Where to shopPlenty of local shops for everyday needs. City centre is a 40 minute walk or 20 minutes on the bus. Buses run every 10 minutes from early morning until midnight.
Restaurants & barsNewcastle in famous for its nightlife and there is no shortage of bars and restaurants to suit all tastes.
Cultural highlightsThe historic centre and quayside are beautiful to walk round. Two very good theatres in the city and the Sage Gateshead, which is located just across the river, is excellent for music.
OutdoorsHiking on Hadrian's wall, in Northumberland and on the coast are all less than an hour away. It is also less than an hour to the historic site of Lindisfarne.
Day tripsEdinburgh and York are easy day trips on the train as well the Scottish borders.
